The Annual Spring Meeting and Plant Sale will be held on Saturday, the 7th of June 2008 at
Eby’s Pines resort in Elkhart, Indiana. See directions below. There will be a short
meeting of the members at 9:00 AM. Following will be a presentation on “Diseases of
Dahlias” by Dr. Janna Beckerman. Janna is an Assistant Professor in the Department of
Plant Pathology at Purdue University, and she received her Doctorate degree from Texas A&M
University. We are all looking forward to her presentation. Lunch will be served
following the presentation. After lunch, the plant auction will begin. Please encourage
your fellow dahlia growers to come and bid on some of the finest dahlias ever hybridized.
The Board of the Midwest Dahlia Conference will meet at 8:00 AM (Peters; C. Waggoner; Thiermann;
Rouff; Chandler; Wittrig; Fox; R. Foith).

Directions to Eby's Pines Resort
It will be held again at Eby’s Pines, 14583 State Road 120 (Vistula Road in Bristol) Bristol,
Indiana 46507 Phone: 574-848-2698.
It is on the north side of the road, just 3 miles east of Bristol. Don’t go to the Eby’s Pines
Campground that is on the south side of the road.
Coming from the North, take Hwy 131 (which becomes Hwy 13 at the Indiana border). Go under the
Hwy 80 Toll road and proceed 1.7 miles. Turn right onto Hwy 120 and go 3.3 miles and find
Eby’s Pines Resort on the right.
From the West, take Hwy 80 Toll Road to Exit 101. Turn right onto Hwy 15 and go 0.1
miles and turn right onto County Road 4. Go 0.5 miles and turn right onto County road
29. Go 1.0 miles and turn left onto State Road 120. Go 1.9 miles and find Eby’s Pines on your
left.
From the East take Exit 107 off the Hwy 80 Toll Road and head South on Hwy 13 for 1.7 miles
and then turn right onto Hwy 120. Go 3.3 miles and Eby’s Pines will be on the right.
