The Midwest Dahlia Conference was established to promote more widespread interest in growing
dahlias in the Midwest. The desire to bring dahlia growers of this section of the nation into
closer and friendlier contact with each other is facilitated through the holding of an Annual
Midwest Dahlia Show, each year sponsored by a different member society and held in a different part
of the Midwest.
- 2013, to be hosted by the West Michigan Dahlia Society on Aug. 29 - Sep. 2 at Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park, Grand Rapids, MI (also the National Show)
- 2012, to be hosted by the Michigan Dahlia Association on Aug. 31 - Sep. 2 at Washtenaw Community College in Ann Arbor, MI
- 2011, hosted by the Central States Dahlia Society
- 2010, hosted by the Dahlia Society of Ohio
- 2009, hosted by the Grand Valley (now West Michigan) Dahlia Society
- 2008, hosted by the Greater Cincinnati
Dahlia Society and the Greater Columbus Dahlia Society
- 2007, hosted by the Central States Dahlia
Society (also the National Show)
- 2006, hosted by the Mahoning Valley Dahlia Society
- 2005, hosted by the Elkhart Dahlia Society
- 2004, hosted by the East Liverpool Dahlia and Floral Society

The Midwest Dahlia Conference also is striving to promote further education
and understanding of the dahlia and its culture to its member societies and to the public.
